The islands of Uist and Benbecula, which are part of the Outer Hebrides archipelago in Scotland, are looking for family doctors able to assist the local population from a health point of view, made up of by approximately 4,700 people.
Applications are accepted from all over the world as long as they are doctors "with a sense of adventure and passion for rural medicine".
The islands, located off the west coast of Scotland, are one of the most remote and wild areas on the planet.
To encourage doctors to move to the islands and change their lives, the health authority focuses on high salaries and the breathtaking beauty of the places.
NHS Western Isles, the publicly funded healthcare service in Scotland, is ready to offer up to 175 thousand euros per year, around 14 thousand euros per month.
NHS Western Isles chief executive Gordon Jamieson said they "intend to reward doctors who take on" because "this is not a job for everyone".
But not just doctors because the island of Rum is also looking for teachers.
Whoever agrees to move there to teach 5 primary school pupils and 2 kindergarten children, the government is willing to pay 79 thousand euros per year.
The hope is that these two factors (advantageous salary and breathtaking landscape) can attract young families in order to improve the quality of life on the islands.
