Political polls, Pd and M5s bad: Salvini and Meloni ok, Renzi is laughing now
The latest SWG survey – announced on 8 April by Enrico Mentana's La7 news program – arrived exactly two months before the European elections which will be held on 8 and 9 June together with the regional elections in Piedmont and the first round of the local elections.
The government parties are undoubtedly smiling, all on the rise, starting with the Brothers of Italy which would thus increase its advantage over a Democratic Party which would appear to have suffered from the chaos of Bari.
Giorgia Meloni consequently appears to be destined to take the lead full of seats in the European elections even without running for office herself, even if the prime minister has not yet made a decision on the matter like Elly Schlein.
For the survey, the 5 Star Movement – another protagonist of the failed primaries in Bari – also takes a step back, while the proposal for the new building amnesty seems to have benefited Matteo Salvini.
The League would still be ahead of Forza Italia in the poll despite the positive sign indicated for the Azzurri, but it will not be easy for Salvini to reach the goal of double figures in the European Championships.

The most awaited list is United States of Europe, the result of the symposium between Italia Viva, +Europa and other centrist realities.
A few months ago, Matteo Renzi seemed to have taken a gamble: announcing his candidacy for the European elections with the real risk of not exceeding the 4% threshold.
In fact, the polls for Italia Viva were merciless in this regard.
Instead, the agreement made with +Europa would have put the former prime minister sensationally back on track, while Carlo Calenda would now be at risk given that Action is given right at the limit of the fateful bar.
Peace, Earth Dignity, on the other hand, Michele Santoro's pacifist list, seems to have taken away fundamental votes from the Vardi-Left Alliance which at the moment would not be able to overcome the threshold for the poll.
Another novelty is that of Libertà , the party led by Cateno De Luca which in the last week has made a notable step forward probably thanks to the recent entry of other political forces such as Vita and Il Popolo della Famiglia.
