The 10 cheapest countries to go on holiday. Ranking 2024

It's already time – for those who haven't done so yet – to think about summer holidays in 2024.
For those who have a limited budget or simply don't want to spend thousands of euros on a trip, the Money.it editorial team analyzed the currency market (and not only), identifying the 10 cheapest countries to go on holiday this year.
The 10 cheapest countries to go on holiday in 2024 There is one factor that more than others can influence our travel-related decisions: money.
Hotels or resorts, plane tickets, transfers and restaurants can increase the cost of a holiday.
For this reason – and in order not to give up a pinch of luxury and comfort – we have selected the (more or less) tourist destinations which, at the same time, have a currency whose exchange rate with the euro is currently very convenient.
In other words, in the ranking of the cheapest places to go on holiday we have favored countries whose currency is significantly weaker compared to the euro, without forgetting to take into consideration the beauty of their land, both in terms of landscape and culture.
1) Hungary 1 euro = 394 Hungarian forints The favorable exchange rate represents excellent news for those wishing to organize a trip to Budapest.
The city is full of Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as luxurious, high-tech spas.
The Hungarian capital celebrated its 150th anniversary in November 2023, the Chain Bridge was recently reopened and the brand new House of Music by Sou Fujimoto Architects is attracting considerable interest, thanks to the unique artistic experience it offers between landscape, architecture and design.

Mexico City, in addition to offering a culture linked to street food that is unique to say the least, offers many interesting activities to visit, starting with the iconic Jumex Museum.
Outside the city, we recommend Jalisco to witness the tequila production process and Isla Holbox, with a postcard-perfect white beach.
3) South Africa 1 euro = 20.45 South African rand The value of the South African rand against the euro has fallen significantly in recent years.
Only 30 years old, with 1 euro you only got 4.77 rand.
Today, however, more than 20.
Also in this case, the culinary scene is lively and high-class.
A perfect destination for those who love nature and adventure.
We recommend, in addition to visiting the capital Cape Town, a journey to discover the Winelands (the land of vineyards) and the Blyde River Canyon, the longest green canyon in the world.
4) South Korea 1 euro = 1,457 Korean won South Korea offers an enchanting fusion of ancient history and glittering modernity, with majestic Buddhist temples, futuristic cityscapes (as in the case of Seoul), a vibrant and innovative culinary scene and unique cultural traditions.
It is a destination where cutting-edge technology meets centuries-old tradition, offering visitors unforgettable experiences, from hiking in lush mountains to discovering tranquil coastal islands.
5) Vietnam 1 euro = 26,950 Vietnamese dong Vietnam is a treasure of evocative landscapes, from Ha Long Bay to the terraced rice fields of Sapa.

Costa Rica, in addition to its "Pura Vida" philosophy, boasts rainforests, virgin beaches, imposing volcanoes and natural reserves rich in biodiversity.
This destination promotes sustainable tourism and offers unique experiences such as ziplining, perfect wave surfing, and amazing wildlife, including parrots, monkeys, and sea turtles.

GPT Egypt is a land shrouded in mystery and history, from majestic monuments such as the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx to the treasures preserved in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, passing through Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.

But there is no shortage of museums and contemporary art installations.
