Giorgia Meloni's Instagram profile hacked: what happened and consequences
Giorgia Meloni's Instagram profile was hacked, what really happened on Sunday evening? It all stems from a suspicious post published by the Prime Minister's official profile to say the least – yesterday she was busy in Egypt together with Ursula von der Leyen – complete with a reference to Elon Musk and links to click.
“Thank you Elon free Btc” was the comment contained in the post which remained online for a few minutes on the wall of Giorgia Meloni's Instagram profile, with the post then immediately removed, still collecting over 200 "likes".
At the same time – again on Instagram – a "story" containing the same message was also published, which was also immediately deleted after a few minutes.
A very common phishing scheme that has affected thousands of users in Italy.
The fact that there are good relations between Musk and Meloni – the entrepreneur was a guest of Atreju a few months ago, the Fratelli d'Italia youth party – may have deceived some of the Prime Minister's followers.
To understand what happened to Giorgia Meloni's Instagram profile, the Postal Police immediately got to work, with the hacking which will certainly have created more than one embarrassment in the Palazzo Chigi area.

The post about Elon Musk published – and then immediately removed – is similar to what we all may have seen on the wall of some friend who had their social profile hacked.
In essence, the post hinted at an alleged large donation of cryptocurrencies by the South African entrepreneur – the second richest person in the world -, with Meloni then thanking him with a comment.
Of course, this is a well-known scam.
