Bonus 2,221 euros for those who want the highest pension, how to request it

Thinking about old age can give you a bonus of up to 2,221 euros every year and also have a higher pension.
Let's see how to do it.
The most important pension reform, beyond the Fornero law, and even before it, was the Dini law (law 335 of 1995) which outlined the transition from the calculation of the salary pension to the calculation of the contributory pension.
There have been some buffer measures, but in fact over time the pension amounts have decreased, in particular for those who start paying contributions now or who started paying contributions after the entry into force of the same law.
To mitigate this effect which could lead many people to have an extremely low pension, there have been incentives to invest in pension funds.
The main incentive is the deductibility of payments to the pension fund, which, we remember, allows you to have a supplementary pension and, consequently, a higher pension; the limit on deductibility is 5,164.57 euros per year.
We remind you that deductions reduce the tax base and that in some cases they can also lead to Irpef calculation with a lower bracket.
With some simulations it will be easier to understand why you can get a bonus of 2,221 euros and at the same time get a higher pension.
Here's how to get the bonus of 2,221 euros.
2,221 euro bonus for those who want the highest pension, how to request it The Irpef reform gives you a bonus of 2,221 euros Here's how to get the 2,221 euro bonus with the pension fund 3,331 euro bonus for the supplementary pension: in which cases can it be obtained? How to obtain the bonus of 2,221 euros on the supplementary pension.
The Irpef reform gives you a bonus of 2,221 euros.
To understand how to obtain the bonus of 2,221 euros, the first thing to note are the Irpef rates.
For the 2024 tax year, it is provisionally not yet known whether the reform of Irpef rates will be structural, the rates are: 23% for incomes up to 28,000 euros; 35% for incomes between 28,001 and 50,000 euros; 43% over 50,000 euros.
We remind you that the rates apply in brackets, so those with a taxable income of 56,000 euros will pay 23% on the first 28,000 euros and increases to 35% for incomes in the second bracket and, finally, to 43% for the last 6,000 euros.
23% on the first 28,000 euros of income (6,440 euros); 35% on the next 22,000 euros of income (7,700 euros); 43% on the remaining 6,000 euros of income (2,580 euros).
A final premise is necessary: the taxable base and therefore the tax is determined after applying all the envisaged deductions.

incometax ratedeductionincome2tax2savings 28,000 euros 23% 6,440 5,164 22,836 5,252 1,188 50,000 euros 23% on 28,000 euros and 35% on the remaining 14,140 5,164 44,836 12,332 1,808 56 ,000 euros rate 43% on 6,000 euros 16,720 5,164 50,836 14,499 2,221 55,000 euros rate 43% on 5,000 euros 16,290 5,164 49,836 14,082 2,208 In the first example the calculation is rather simple because only one rate is applied and consequently it is sufficient to subtract the deduction to obtain the taxable amount.
The second example is more complicated.
2 rates apply, the first up to 28,000 euros and the tax is always 6,440.
In the second bracket, however, it changes a lot because if we calculate it on 22,000 euros the total tax is 14,140, but if instead we subtract the deduction for the pension fund, only 16,836 euros fall in the second rate and the tax saving is 1,808 euros.
The same procedure applies if we go to the third rate with an income of 56,000 euros.
In this case the 43% rate applies to 6,000 euros which becomes 836 euros if the payment into the pension fund is 5,164 euros.
The tax due for the 836 euros at a rate of 43% is 359.48 euros.
You would have to pay 2,580 euros without deduction, consequently the saving is 2,221 euros.
In the third case, however, we have seen the effect when the income bracket changes before and after the application of the deduction.
These are simulations, but we remind you that the payment into the pension fund can be even lower than 5,164 euros and in the case of higher payments the deduction is on the maximum expenditure of 5,164.57 euros.
3,331 euro bonus for the supplementary pension: in which cases can it be obtained? However, a further detail must be added.
For first-time workers, paragraph 6 of article 8 of Legislative Decree 252/2005 provides that the limit of 5,164.57 is increased by 2,582.29 euros per year for a maximum period of 20 years.
In this case we can have a deductibility of up to 7,746 euros.
In this case the maximum bonus that can be obtained is 3,331 euros per year.
Naturally, this maximum saving can be achieved if the individual has an income of at least 57,800 euros per year.
In the tax calculation carried out we obviously did not consider deductions, including those for employed and self-employed work.
The deductions foreseen for the first home or other deductions applied to particular cases were not considered.
Furthermore, we have not considered additional regional and municipal charges.
Finally, it must be remembered that the taxes to be paid into the pension fund are reduced.
The returns accrued by the pension fund are subject to 20% tax, more favorable than the 26% that applies to most forms of financial savings.
On the portion of the return deriving from the possession of government bonds and similar securities, taxation is set at 12.5%.
