A new (and dangerous) scam on Whatsapp arrives in Italy
A new WhatsApp scam has also arrived in Italy.
Taking advantage of the vulnerability of many job seekers, the scam is cunning and you need to know all the details to recognize it and stay away from it.
Through the instant messaging service WhatsApp, owned by Meta, some scammers are sending messages containing job offers from large and medium-sized companies.
Within the messages, the recipient is promised flexible working hours, a good salary and it is explained that the job does not require previous work experience.
But it's a scam.
How to recognize the new scam on WhatsApp These scam messages on WhatsApp arrive unexpectedly from an unknown number.
Furthermore, the message does not explain what exactly the job in question consists of or what the expected salary would be.
And this is where the alarm bells must ring.
If the job advertisement received via WhatsApp does not require previous work experience and if the recipient is told to respond within a certain period of time, it is a real scam.

It is dangerous.
Once a conversation has been established with the scammers, the victim may be asked for some personal information, such as banking credentials, passwords or various documents.
It is also possible that you receive a message asking you to install some software for remote access on your smartphone.
Scams linked to job offers are also characterized by the fact that they do not require participation in a job interview and no mention is made of any type of suitability assessment.
If the recipient of the message suspects that it is a scam, it is recommended not to reply.
They promise a job, but it's just another scam on WhatsApp More generally, these messages have some characteristics that are good to be aware of.
Typically, these contain various promises and offers that promise financial benefits to the recipient: a lottery win, an inheritance, or, for example, an investment opportunity.
Often these offers seem too good to be true.
There is also no shortage of extortion attempts.
In these cases, the scammer can tell the recipient of the message that someone has sensitive information or images about them.
Scam messages can often contain typos, but this is not always the case.
