Official Invalsi Test Dates for 2024-2025 Academic Year

The calendar detailing the official dates for the Invalsi tests for the 2024-2025 school year has been published.
This announcement comes from Invalsi Open, the authority responsible for administering these standardized tests annually.

The Invalsi tests are standardized assessments aimed at evaluating the national level of student proficiency in Italian, Mathematics, and English.
These tests are scheduled at specific points in the educational journey across the 13 years of mandatory schooling.

Who Will Participate in the Invalsi Tests?

In the upcoming academic year, the Invalsi tests will be undertaken by students in Primary, Lower Secondary, and Upper Secondary schools.
Specifically, the following grades are required to participate:

• Second and fifth grades of Primary School;
• Third grade of Lower Secondary School;
• Second and fifth grades of Upper Secondary School.

These assessments cover Mathematics, Italian, and English, but the format differs between the Primary and Secondary levels.
In Primary education, tests are conducted on paper, whereas students in Middle and High Schools will take the Computer Based Training (CBT) tests on computers.

Key Dates for Invalsi Tests 2024-2025

The Invalsi tests will take place from March to May 2025, adhering to a specific schedule depending on whether classes are sample or non-sample.

Primary School – Second Graders

• Italian: Wednesday, May 7, 2025
• Mathematics: Friday, May 9, 2025

Primary School – Fifth Graders

• English: Tuesday, May 6, 2025
• Italian: Wednesday, May 7, 2025
• Mathematics: Friday, May 9, 2025

Makeup assessments for Primary School will occur on:

• May 13, 2025: English for fifth graders;
• May 14, 2025: Italian for second and fifth graders;
• May 16, 2025: Mathematics for second and fifth graders.

Lower Secondary School – Third Graders (CBT)

Ordinary Session for Sample Classes: April 1-4, 2025, where schools choose three days for the tests.

For Non-Sample Classes, testing will take place from April 1 to April 30, 2025.

Upper Secondary School – Second Graders (CBT)

Sample Class Tests: May 12-14, 2025.

Non-Sample Classes Testing Period: May 12-30, 2025.

Upper Secondary School – Fifth Graders (CBT)

Sample Class Testing Window: March 4-13, 2025.

Non-Sample Classes Testing Period: March 3-31, 2025.
