Arval closes a very positive 2023 with a fleet of over 1.7 million vehicles rented
In an ever-changing automotive market, Arval achieved extraordinary results in 2023.
With a total of 1,701,540 vehicles rented globally, Arval recorded 6.9% growth in its managed fleet in the past year.
An exceptional result which is the direct consequence of a corporate strategy focused on innovation and sustainability, and which highlights the company's ability to successfully identify possible consumer needs.
Arval: record-breaking electrified fleet With a target of 350,000 100% electric and 700,000 electrified vehicles in the global fleet by 2025, to reduce fleet CO2 emissions by 35% compared to 2020, Arval reached 166,363 electric vehicles rented by the end of 2023, for an increase of 85% on 2022.
To support the adoption of electric vehicles, Arval recently announced the launch of a new offer, Arval Charging Services, which allows you to rent a vehicle together with a charging station, available for both business and private customers.
Thanks to an international agreement with ChargePoint, an important operator active in the vehicle charging sector, Arval customers will have access to a network of more than 500,000 charging points in Europe, as well as various services available to drivers.
This new offer is part of the wider range of solutions already provided by Arval in favor of the energy transition which include not only electric vehicles, but also various alternative mobility formulas.
New strategic partnerships During 2023 Arval strengthened its international collaboration with its partner Element, signing an agreement that will allow customers of the global alliance with Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service to access rental and fleet management solutions in Japan, Thailand, India and Indonesia.
Furthermore, the Alliance has expanded to The Element-Arval Global Alliance has also expanded to include Sixt Mega Rent in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina, achieving the international management of over 4.4 million vehicles in 56 countries and 5 continents.
In addition to maintaining solid partnerships with banks – not only BNP Paribas, but also Caixa in Spain and Portugal, Unicredit in Austria and Erste in Slovakia – Arval has continued to work with other primary players in the automotive sector in the context of international strategic partnerships such as those started with Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Astara, Emil Frey France and Volvo Cars.
In early 2023 Arval, BNP Paribas Cardif and BNP Paribas Personal Finance also announced the launch of the partnership with Jaguar Land Rover, with a focus on integrated financing offers for mobility solutions in nine European markets.
In the second half of 2023, Arval started a collaboration with MG Motor, launching a joint offer of subscription vehicles, and signed an agreement with the electric car brand Zeekr.

And with the "connected insurance" offer, Arval also guarantees a reduction in the monthly rental fee based on the driving style of its customers.
Successfully launched in Italy, this service will soon be developed in Spain, Holland and Belgium.
Arval: projects and strategy for 2024 In 2024, in a rapidly evolving market, the acceleration of the energy transition of fleets, thanks to the expansion of the electric vehicle models available, the development of partnerships for charging, the consultancy provided to customers for the definition of mobility policies that include zero-emission vehicles and mobility solutions complementary to rental, to limit emissions of CO2.
Arval has already started to follow this path with the launch of Arval Charging Services, which involves the rental of an electric vehicle together with the charging point.
This new proposal completes the ecosystem that the rental company already makes available to its customers through the "energy cards" for charging at public infrastructures and the reimbursement of electricity consumption for home charging.
With most of the objectives set by Arval Beyond set to be achieved already in the current year, 2024 will also be characterized by the completion of the global strategic plan presented in 2020 and will see the definition of a new strategic plan, which will be announced at beginning of 2025 and which will mark a turning point in the history of the company.
