The long-awaited announcement for the competition to access the third band Ata, the administrative, technical, and ancillary staff of primary and secondary schools, educational institutions, and special state schools, is expected in the coming weeks.
This competition represents a significant opportunity for those who aspire to work in schools as school aides or in administration.
The third band serves as the gateway to these positions.
With the upcoming updates, candidates will enroll in a specific ranking from which schools will select Ata staff for fixed-term contracts (substitutes) based on their needs in the next three years.
This year’s competition will introduce several innovations in both requirements and roles.
For the first time, the figure of School Operator will be included among the Ata personnel profiles.
This new role will not have an existing ranking, creating a fresh opportunity for applicants.
Although the exact publication date has not been confirmed, according to recent rumors, the announcement is expected in May 2024, following the provisions of the Decree Milleproroghe.
To participate in the Ata competition, candidates must meet various standard requirements such as Italian citizenship, EU citizenship, or valid residence permits, as well as physical fitness for the job.
Additionally, this year, the possession of an International Digital Literacy Certification is mandatory for most positions, except for school aides.
Depending on the desired role, specific qualifications are necessary, ranging from professional certificates to secondary school diplomas.
Candidates must also be registered on the relevant provincial lists or have prior work experience in the specific field.
The Ata competition for the third band does not involve written or oral exams but relies solely on qualifications and experience to assign scores for ranking.
Applicants will receive detailed instructions and deadlines for submitting their applications through the Polis portal (Online Submission of Applications).
The process is expected to be similar to previous years, with online submissions via Spid, Cie, Cns, or eIDas.
Candidates must indicate up to 30 preferred schools for their application to be considered.
