Anyone who watches football matches illegally risks a fine of up to 5 thousand euros.
There are many users who could end up in the sights of Agcom, the body at the forefront of the fight against piracy and illegal online streaming of sports matches, especially football ones.
The Piracy Shield platform was activated on February 1st, designed by Agcom with the aim of identifying and reporting those responsible for piracy and the dissemination of illicit content and more.
Even those who use these systems are monitored and at risk of sanctions.
The sanctioning system aims to hinder piracy and reduce the phenomenon.
However, piracy does not only concern subscriptions to IPTV and illegal sites, but also to apps on PlayStore, AppStore and Amazon.
These start out free and in some cases remain so, while some applications require a small subscription over time.
These include apps with over 1 million downloads.

In fact, the risk is of ending up on the list of illegal users and over time there could be a fine of up to 5 thousand for the behavior.
With over 50 thousand downloads on Google Play you can find, for example, Live Football – Tv Stream, an app that promises live streaming of football matches "without worrying about the hassle of subscriptions and monthly fees".
Apps often hide their intentions among their features, as in this case where it talks about "live scores for football" (which is not illegal) and immediately after states that "it is possible to watch all the matches of the national championship and international".
Another application potentially at risk is Football Sports Live TV 2023, which claims to provide real-time scores, but also league tables, point tables and, last but not least, matches.
Less certain, however, is the position of Football Live Tv Full HD App (with 100 thousand downloads) which claims to be a reference source for everything related to football, but never refers to illegal live streaming.
Football TV Live Streaming HD instead offers to watch "your favorite football and soccer series such as FA Cup, Copa del Rey, Bundesliga, Serie A, Coppa Italia, MLS, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, EPL b> English Premier League , Ligue 1, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Still Live Football Tv Sports offers to follow the matches in real time”.
In contrast, Football TV – Live Scores and Calcio live TV say they offer results, reminders, statistics and other non-live services.

This clarified that the new rules of the anti-piracy or anti-pezzotto law provide for fines of 150 to 5,000 euros for all those who have used pirated materials.
The tightening of penalties is aimed at discouraging the phenomenon and attempting to recover over 300 million euros per year.
