It’s time to complete the update for the Gps 2024/2026 substitutes, as some temporary teachers will soon have to release their reservation and everyone will need to input their 150 preferences to obtain a fixed-term contract until June 30th or August 31st, 2025.
Summer Deadlines for Gps 2024/2026
As we approach the summer dedicated to Gps 2024/2026, there are rumors coming from the Anief union about the upcoming deadlines.
Most likely, there will be two different instances, as seen in previous years, that those included in the Provincial Rankings for substitutes will have to submit between July and August.
This is to ensure inclusion in the appointment bulletins by the Regional School Offices for service starting in September.
Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming deadlines for Gps 2024/2026 between the release of reservations and the submission of the 150 preferences.
Gps 2024/2026 Substitutes: Release of Reservations in July
The deadline for releasing reservations for those included in the Gps 2024/2026 should be in July.
As anticipated by Anief, the application should be submitted starting from Monday, July 8th, until Wednesday, July 10th.
The application, to be submitted electronically through the ministerial platform Polis – Online Applications, should be submitted by those who are included in the Gps with reservations and have declared a qualification to be obtained by June 30th, 2025.
This applies to those who have obtained specialization in support (Tfa VIII cycle) and those who have obtained a teaching qualification (30 credits according to the new ministerial rules for accessing the role).
Most likely, these are individuals who have obtained one of the qualifications between June 25th and June 30th, 2025, after the deadline for submitting the Gps applications.
Releasing the reservation confirms that the qualification has been obtained, allowing entry into the first band.
Gps 2024/2026 Substitutes: Selection of 150 Preferences
August will most likely be the month dedicated to submitting the selection of 150 preferences for those enrolled in the Gps 2024/2026.
In their province of assignment, teachers can indicate the schools where they prefer to work to be considered for substitute assignments until June 30th or August 31st.
The choices can be specific, indicating the school, or broader, by municipality or district.
It will be possible to specify the type of contract, including part-time options, indicate availability for adult institutions, prisons, and hospitals.
As usual, candidates will have around two weeks to submit their applications through the dedicated Online Applications function.
In past years, applications were submitted in the second half of July in 2023 when there was no Gps update, and in mid-August around Ferragosto in the 2022 update.
During the submission of the 150 preferences, the function for substitutes aimed at the role of candidates included in the first band of support Gps should also be active.
For confirmation on dates and procedures, we need to await the ministerial notes with detailed instructions.
