Recently unveiled by “50 Best,” the ranking of the world’s finest hotels highlights the exceptional achievements of these establishments, notably with a prestigious Italian hotel securing the second position.
This list is the culmination of preferences from 600 anonymous voters globally, comprising travel journalists, hoteliers, and travel experts, who gathered to determine the top hotels at the historic Guildhall in London.

It’s fascinating to note that the 2024 list features hotels from dozens of destinations across six continents, with Asia leading the charge with 19 hotels, followed by Europe with 13, North America with 9, Africa and Oceania with 4 each, and finally South America with 1.
The hotel that claimed the top spot jumped 10 positions since 2023, while the Italian hotel in second place was celebrated as the best overall last year.

The Ranking of the 50 Best Hotels

The top hotel in the world for 2024 offers a remarkable 101 suites and villas, alongside breathtaking views of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, with prices starting at $600 per night.
Guests also enjoy 5 dining options, including a Michelin-starred restaurant by chef Mauro Colagreco, plus a luxurious spa sanctuary named Auriga.
Located in Thailand, this dream hotel has risen to first place for the first time.

Italy, a popular tourist destination among affluent travelers, proudly occupies the second position with a stunning hotel located by Lake Como, which was last year’s winner.

Finally, Italy’s Passalacqua has been awarded the best boutique hotel, while the Maroma Riviera Maya has received the Eco Hotel Award for its commitment to sustainability.
The Royal Mansour in Morocco claimed the Art of Hospitality award, with Soneva Fushi in the Maldives being recognized as the Best Beach Hotel.
