WhatsApp is a continuously updated platform ready to improve itself to integrate more and more functions.
From 11 April, interesting new features will come into force that have already been extensively tested and announced.
But today we want to talk to you about another new feature that could soon debut in the famous messaging app and concerns the sending of photos and videos in high definition.
Here's what will change.
WhatsApp, soon automatic HD photos and videos WhatsApp has been criticized in the past for sending low resolution photos and videos in the chat.
Something that had caused the famous messaging app to lose ground towards Telegram which instead allowed the sending of HD photos and videos in the original format.
It was something that needed to be resolved also because modern smartphones now take photos and record videos in very high resolution and quality.
Losing all this while sending on WhatsApp was not appreciated by users.
So, Meta got to work and updated the app by including the opportunity to send photos and videos in HD.
However, this setting still needs to be set manually.
In fact, every time we send a photo or video in chat, we have the possibility of sending in classic format, therefore with low resolution, or in HD with slower loading.
Now according to the WABetaInfo site, which is constantly updated on the latest news, there will soon be a change to this setting.
In fact, users will be given the opportunity to set the sending of photos and videos in HD as the default setting.
Just go to the settings and mark sending in HD as default.
Be careful though because sending photos and videos in HD, in addition to slowing down the upload, also consumes memory, as the material has a higher size.
Therefore, it is always necessary to evaluate whether or not it is worth sending large files.
Other news coming soon More news will arrive on Whatsapp from April 11th.
The first is the possibility of communicating between different platforms and therefore the possibility for WhatsApp to receive and manage messages from other services such as Telegram, Signal or Session.
In practice, in a single chat it will be possible to manage the chats of different messaging applications.
However, the date of April 11 will only be an enabling step for this possibility because it will be necessary to wait for requests to Meta from the other services and up to three months to proceed with acceptance.
The other important news is that from 11 April in all EU countries, the minimum date for signing up to WhatsApp will be reduced to 13 years.
In Italy the age had been reduced some time ago but in some countries the age of 16 was still in force.
A date considered too adult to not be able to allow even those who are at least 13 years old to use the messaging chat.
