For several years now, Primaonline has been releasing a monthly ranking of the most visited editorial sites in Italy, backed by data from Comscore.
In this post, we share the results for July 2024.
It is crucial to emphasize that Comscore’s metrics pursue different objectives compared to other analytical tools like Publytics.
While this ranking focuses on identifying actual unique users behind each page view, daily activities may prioritize other metrics, such as real-time traffic monitoring and content type analysis.
Publytics has been designed to excel in this type of analysis.

At the end of this post, you’ll find the complete ranking as reported by Primaonline, which displays the report for the top 100 positions.
For detailed methodologies, refer to Primaonline’s article.
Overall, the total audience in July 2024 stands at 45,154,000 unique users on Italian web platforms, including desktop, mobile, and social media, marking a 2% increase from June.
Among the top 20 sites, we can identify three main categories that showcase the highest page views.
Let’s explore how their page views changed compared to the previous month:
As an aggregation of various outlets, the News category retains its leadership position, with significant increases noted for Microsoft Start (+14.07%) and ANSA.IT (+26.09%).
Conversely, Citynews experienced a slight decline (-0.69%) yet continues to attract substantial traffic.
The Aggregate category secures the second spot.
Caltagirone Editore saw a minor dip (-3.46%), along with Quotidiano Nazionale (-5.23%), though they remain among the most visited sites.
Notably, The Core ADV reported excellent performance growth (+21.25%), reflecting a marked increase in visibility and engagement.
Despite a slight downturn for CORRIEREDELLOSPORT.IT (-1.85%), the Sports category continues to exhibit significant viewer numbers.
Sky Sport Sites experienced a rise in page views (+11.76%), likely amplified by attention on major sporting events.
It is plausible that the Paris 2024 Olympics (from July 26 to August 11) has played a role in sustaining interest in sports, driving traffic to these websites.
