Dedicated Card: 500 Euros No Longer Allocated to These Families
The 2024 Dedicated Card: New Requirements and Changes
The Dedicated Card for you has been renewed for 2024, as specified by the recent implementing decree signed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests (in agreement with the Ministries of Enterprises, Labor, and Economy).
However, new requirements have been defined to be eligible for the benefit.
One of the major changes introduced is the exclusion of access to the new social card for those who receive the Purchase Card.
This means that there is no possibility of reaching a total bonus of 960 euros (500 euros from the Dedicated Card for you plus 460 euros from the Purchase Card), putting at risk many families who benefited from the support last year.
New Requirements for the 2024 Dedicated Card
While most of the requirements from last year remain in place, such as the maximum Isee threshold of 15,000 euros, there are some significant changes.
Individuals must not be beneficiaries of other income support measures.
This includes not having recipients of: Inclusion Allowance and Support for Training and Employment, any other social inclusion measure or poverty support involving economic subsidies, among others.
Furthermore, access to the Dedicated Card for you is now also denied to those receiving the Purchase Card for children under 3 years old or individuals aged 65 and over, adding a new criterion that may exclude many families from the benefit.
Prioritization in the Allocation Process
The allocation process considers several factors automatically.
It is divided into three steps, each prioritizing individuals with the lowest Isee.
The first step includes households with at least 3 members, including a child born by December 31, 2010.
In the second phase, if there are remaining cards, households with children born between 2009 and 2006 are taken into consideration.
Finally, in the third step, households without children but with at least 3 members are considered.
It is important to note that some families who qualified for the Dedicated Card for you in 2023 due to the presence of a child born in 2009 may not be placed in advantageous positions this year, as they might move to a later phase of allocation.
The same applies to those born in 2005, who shift to the second and last phase.
Those with a higher Isee in 2024 compared to 2023 also have reduced chances of being beneficiaries.
