Psychologist bonus 2023, here is the decree: requirements, amounts and when to apply
Green light for the psychologist bonus: the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, signed the implementing decree which gives the green light to the recognition of the contribution also for 2023 and 2024 (although with limited resources).
A topic on which Fedez had also been working for weeks, precisely with the aim of speeding up the approval of an implementing decree without which the psychologist bonus could not be requested by all those who would have needed it.
We would also like to remind you that already in 2022 it represented a valid help for those who, being below a certain income threshold, would otherwise have had difficulty taking care of their mental health, recognizing them a contribution of 50 euros per session up to a maximum of 600 euros per year.
Now the contribution is renewed for 2023 – and the methods for requesting it will soon be made known – as well as for 2024, but with sufficient resources to recognize it for a small number of people with the risk of a real click day to benefit from it .
In the meantime, here are the requirements this year – and next – to be met to be entitled to the new psychologist bonus, as well as what the differences are, especially with regards to the amounts, compared to 2022.
Psychologist bonus 2023 The psychologist bonus becomes structural Amount Requirements Sending the application Few resources, but…
The psychologist bonus becomes structural The novelty is represented by the fact that the psychologist bonus, after a period of experimentation, becomes a structural measure for our system.
This was confirmed by the Minister of Health, who believes that this is a fundamental contribution as "mental health is a public health priority".
In this regard, 5 million euros are available for 2023, while for 2024 there will be 8 million (therefore the number of those who will benefit from it will be greater).
Amount Another important innovation is represented by the fact that the decree of the Ministry of Health increases the maximum amount of the contribution that citizens who need it will be able to request from INPS.
As in 2022, from now on the maximum refundable amount will depend on the ISEE bracket to which you belong.
In this regard, here is a table that compares the reimbursable amounts between last year and 2023 (and those to come): ISEE threshold Reimbursable amount 2022 Reimbursable amount from 2023 Less than 15,000 euros 600 euros 1,500 euros Between 15,000 and 30,000 euros 400 euros 600 euros Between 30,000 and 50,000 euros 200 euros 500 euros As regards the single session, the maximum refundable amount is always 50 euros.
Requirements The requirements are the same as in previous years: in detail, the benefit of the psychologist bonus is recognized only once in favor of the person resident in Italy at the time of submitting the application with an ISEE not exceeding 50 thousand euros.
To apply it will therefore be necessary to have a valid ISEE.
Sending the application It is still early to send the applications: after the implementing decree of the Ministry of Health, in fact, the specific INPS circular will be needed with the instructions for requesting them.
The application must be submitted electronically from the appropriate service available on the INPS website and must be done quickly as soon as there is the green light from the Institute.
At the end of the period established for the submission of requests, in fact, the rankings will be drawn up – broken down by Region and autonomous Province – where not only the ISEE value but also (in the event of a tie) the order in which the application was submitted will be taken into account.
Few resources, but…
Hurrying is important especially in light of the few resources available: in this regard, as explained by the National Council of the Order of Psychologists (CNOP), the hope is that Parliament can decide in favor of an increase in resources that can expand the audience of recipients of the measure, thus helping a greater number of people to take care of their psychological health.
What is certain is that the confirmation of the psychologist bonus represents only one of the many support measures: a mental health table is in fact being carried out at the Ministry of Health, with the aim of "strengthening the structures and services for taking burden on the territory and to spread the culture of mental health also to overcome the stigma and discrimination that continue to be a barrier to social inclusion".
