Beware of the 50 euro note on the car trick. It is a scam

The 50 euro banknote trick is the new fraud that is raging in France.
The risk? Having your car stolen.
This is a new trick used by car thieves.
We recommend paying maximum attention: if you see a 50 euro note on the windshield wiper of your car, it is most likely fake.
Do not get out of the car to take it, thus avoiding the risk of being the next victim of a theft.
How the 50 euro note scam works It works like this: Criminals place a fake 50 euro note – or sometimes another object or piece of paper – behind the windshield wiper of a stationary vehicle.
Then they wait for the driver to see the note when he gets behind the wheel and come out to get it, while the key is still in the key.
That's when the thieves strike.
They get in the car and drive away.
The French police of Haute-Garonne, whose capital is the well-known city of Toulouse, have warned the population on social media about this new scam in which several French citizens are falling for it.
The new 50 euro scam and the stolen car Initially the phenomenon appeared in some regions, but now the scam appears to be implemented throughout France, reports the French channel BFMTV.
It is mainly young or older motorists who are targeted.
“These are professional criminals,” a police source told the Actu Toulouse newspaper.
“They scan an area and do their thing, quickly disappearing before being spotted.
Makeup comes in waves, some seasons more than others.
Now it will happen more often when the weather improves." Who knows if this new scam will also arrive in Italy.
