Inclusion allowance, did you know that you could be entitled to a bonus of 480 euros?

Anyone who receives the Inclusion Allowance and consequently has a very low ISEE (less than 9,360 euros) may be entitled to other income support measures.
The Inclusion Allowance, in fact, is compatible with other welfare measures recognized by the State, such as for example with the Social Allowance or even the Naspi.
However, they cannot be cumulated: although it is possible to request these benefits, it will be necessary to take into account a possible cut in the monthly support recognized under Adi.
However, there are some measures which, in addition to being compatible, can also be combined with the Social Allowance: requesting them, therefore, does not entail a reduction in either benefit.
One of these is the "Purchases Card" social card which should not be confused with the Card dedicated to you which, despite having also been confirmed in 2024, is precluded to those families who benefit from other support provided by the State such as the Inclusion Allowance .
When we talk about Purchasing Cards we are referring instead to the one introduced by Legislative Decree no.
112 of 2008 with the aim of offering support to people who, following the extraordinary increase in food prices and energy bills caused by the then economic crisis, found themselves in a state of particular need.
An instrument that has been confirmed over the years, so much so that today you can still request it having access to a contribution of up to 480 euros per year which effectively integrates what is already recognized with the Adi card.
However, as we will see below, the Purchasing Card is not automatically available to all families receiving the Inclusion Allowance: this, in fact, provides for a lower ISEE limit, and is also reserved for those with members under the age of 3 or aged over 65.
Inclusion allowance, which families are entitled to the 480 euro bonus.
The requirements for accessing the purchasing card are more stringent than those required for the inclusion allowance: for this reason it is not certain that all those who benefit from this instrument are also entitled to the bonus of 480 euros in question.
For example, to be entitled to the Purchasing Card in 2024 you must have an ISEE of less than 8,052.75 euros, while for the inclusion allowance the limit is 9,360 euros.
Furthermore, the shopping card is reserved for children under 3 years of age – obviously in this case it will still be registered in the applicant's name – or for those who have reached the age of 65.
Furthermore, in the case of those over 65, there is another requirement to be met: in detail, the family's income must not exceed 8,052.75 euros per year, a limit which rises to 10,737 euros upon reaching the age of 70.
Then there are other requirements that could preclude access to the Purchase Card to families who already benefit from the Citizenship Income, namely: not being the holder of more than one electricity or gas user; not own more than one vehicle; not be owners with a share greater than or equal to 25% of more than one property for residential use; not be owners, with a share greater than or equal to 10%, of properties not for residential use or of cadastral category C7; have movable assets, as recorded for ISEE purposes, not exceeding 15 thousand euros.
Furthermore, access to the Purchasing Card is precluded to those who benefit from food insured by the State or other public administrations because they are hospitalized in a long-term care institution or detained in a penal institution.
The differences between the two cards Both the purchasing card and the Adi card are two cards from the Postapay circuit, which can easily be used for payments via POS.
However, the list of purchases that can be made with the Adi card is much broader than to the other measurement.
The purchasing card, in fact, can only be used in authorized commercial establishments, such as: supermarkets; food shops; pharmacies; parapharmacies.
Obviously these must be enabled for the Mastercard circuit.
Furthermore, it can be used, by contacting the post office directly, to pay electricity and gas bills.
And again, in authorized shops a 5% discount is given but only for purchases made with the appropriate card (it does not apply to the purchase of medicinal specialties or to the payment of the health ticket).
Unlike the Inclusion Allowance, the amount credited to the card – 40 euros per month, but the top-up is bimonthly – cannot be withdrawn in cash, not even up to a certain limit.
In fact, the two measures go well together given that the 480 euros of the shopping card can be used for shopping or to purchase medicines, while the inclusion allowance for a whole other series of goods and services (including expenses obviously), such as to buy clothes or to get petrol.
In this regard, anyone interested can apply directly at the post office, where they will need to present the appropriate completed and signed forms.
