Adriano Celentano Today: Age, Health Status, and Current Endeavors
What Happened to Adriano Celentano?
This is a question many have pondered, especially considering Adriano Celentano, also known as the “Molleggiato,” has been largely absent from television since 2019, following the release of his experimental show, Adrian, which was considered a flop.
Celentano is one of Italy’s most versatile artists.
Starting as a singer-songwriter, his successful music career eventually led him to excel in film—both as an actor and a director—and then into television.
Together with his wife, Claudia Mori, they won a Sanremo Music Festival edition, and since 1956, Celentano has released 27 studio albums and appeared in 43 films.
In recent decades, he has primarily focused on his one-man television shows.
His Recent Activity
The last television effort, the animated series Adrian, aired on Canale 5 in 2019, but it is mostly remembered for its disappointing ratings.
Since then, Celentano has been notably absent from the TV scene.
Recently, discussions around Celentano have centered on his health, particularly following a hospitalization in February 2023 for circulatory issues.
However, his family reassured everyone that he is in excellent health.
Adriano Celentano’s Biography and Personal Life
Born on January 6, 1938, in Milan, Adriano’s roots trace back to Foggia through his parents, and he is the uncle of Alessandra Celentano.
Married to Claudia Mori, they share three children: Rosita, Giacomo, and Rosalinda.
Besides his career as a singer, actor, and TV host, he is an avid Inter supporter.
Where Is He Now?
Now 86, Celentano resides with Claudia in a beautiful villa in Campesone di Galbiate, Brianza, boasting 12 hectares of land, complete with a swimming pool and tennis court.
During the pandemic, he expressed concerns about “the dictatorship of talk shows” regarding anti-vaccine sentiments.
Interestingly, he noted, “I have never been vaccinated, but I’m now open to it, as is Claudia.”
After the controversies surrounding Amadeus at the 2023 Sanremo Festival, Celentano remarked on Instagram, “It’s now certain, I won’t return to TV.” Distance from the spotlight doesn’t deter him; he remains engaged with current affairs but there seems to be no immediate plans for a return to television.
Health Conditions
His most recent media attention came in February when a minor health issue related to circulation required a hospital stay, though he was discharged after routine checks.
In July, rumors of another hospitalization emerged but were quickly dismissed by his press office, stating, “Adriano is well and has had no issues.”
