The deadline for submitting candidacies for the upcoming European elections on June 8 and 9, 2024 has passed, and the official lists are now confirmed.
Italy will elect a total of 73 Members of the European Parliament through a proportional representation system with a 4% threshold at the national level.
Italian Electoral Circumscriptions
Italy is divided into five electoral circumscriptions for the European elections:
- North-West: Valle d’Aosta, Liguria, Piedmont, and Lombardy.
- North-East: Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Veneto.
- Central: Lazio, Marche, Tuscany, and Umbria.
- South: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, and Puglia.
- Islands: Sardinia and Sicily.
